Does a Ney 50-XVT muffle have platinum in it?

It is most likely plain Cr/Ni alloy only... the tip of some thermocouples is made of precious metals

@Rookobird Unless it's from the early 80s or before, odds are it is not platinum.
Check the wiring, though - if it's thicker and relatively stiff, it isn't platinum. If it's thinner and more malleable, it could be platinum. When platinum was used, it was thinner and more flexible. That's the best I got!
