Diagnostic Wax

I have been trying to complete a mock up digitally, but no sucess. I have watched a few youtube videos, but when I try to match them I have issues with the geometry not matching or some error. In the video he mentions opening a new instance of exocad with no order?? I am unsure how he does this. Basically he tricks the software by saving the free formed old model as a waxup, them imports it again so he can attach the new waxup teeth. When i do this i get an error that the geometry intersects the target reconstruction?? Anyone know why this keeps happening? Thanks in advance!

If I’m understanding your question - can you edit your waxup stl to just include the teeth sections that you want copied and not the model so it is not intersecting? Sometimes if I have a wax-up scan that also includes the base it throws out errors.
