Sounds good. :Top:
Of course if it'll wear out aluminum, wonder what it will do in oral environment.

Once UV cured and polished its not abrasive. Its similar to a ceramic filled composite in many ways. It also has a nice give to it for the opposing anatomy. Certainly not nearly as hard as zirconia! : )

The real issue is when you had liquid resin on the build platform after printing and are wiping it off with IPA and a paper towel the ceramic fillers really can grind into the surface. Adding a stainless steal build plate was a requirement for these resins but also a fantastic durable build platform option for customers now. Its great!

Your explanation makes sense. Like dipping a denture 1000 times in pumice, the top of an aluminum build plate would take some damage as well, all those prints.
Learned Something. Thanks

Very similar to pumice actually. 👍

Luckily during the IPA wash it removes the grit, so you never really interact with it on the 3d printed part. The parts are actually pretty durable from these resins, even pre-uv-cure. In our experience handling and finishing these crowns you never accidently like chip off a margin or something, like green state zirconia, but softer than emax blue bock, not so rigid. Hard to explain Burnout. anyway sorry for derailing the thread
