Hey guys, welcome back!

It seems many users are confused about the base plate and the base part of the support bottom. Let's figure it out.
Besides, in this lesson, we will master the base plate parameters. Let's begin!

The base plate: the one-piece plate connecting with the platform, as the green part in the image shows. But notice that the base plate is mutually exclusive with the platform-connecting part of the support. When the base plate is set, the parameters of the platform-connecting part of the support will not take effect.

Base Plate Types: 5 types in total. The parameters of the platform-connecting part of the support will only take effect on the None type.

The ratio of the base plate to the model’s projected area: 115% is the recommended value. Too large will waste materials.

Base Plate Thickness: Shown in the image.

Skate Edge Height: Only the Skate type has skate edge height. It is recommended not to exceed 2.0mm otherwise might cause vacuum effects during the printing process.

Grid Side Length & Grid Spacing: Shown in the image.

Ive seen a few people posting screenshots printing all on x hybrids teeth side up. Is there an accurate way to do this in chitubox and not mess up the connection to the MUA?

Hello, do you mean it's put the teeth up and the abutment hole at the downside? CHITUBOX Dental can avoid generating support in the hole structures. But this way of placement sounds hard to not affect the fit with the abutment since the abutment holes are always not at the same angle. That might have overhanging areas if you don't add support. Could you show me those screenshots?
