I'll hop on to say that the Novoloc inserts are made of PEEK and has a melting temp of around 343C, so unlike the nylon housings they should survive the boiling process, that said, they have a slit in them and acrylic will force its way in there if you don't block it out... thats why they made processing caps so you don't have to do that.
If you're in a pinch, it'll work though.
