Hello
I soaked some of my articulators in a mixed CLR/ water solution to clean them from plaster residues, left them in the solution for few hours, after removing them out, they all had a black deposit film that's not easy to wash off even with soap.
Anyone ran into this situation and maybe has a solution for it??
Thanks

Imad

The lactic acid from CLR reacted with the articulator material ? If so try something tougher than just soap...

You tarnished or oxidized them.. Probly ate away the electroplating on it.. Dont think there any saving that without another chemical reaction or some kind of polish or electroplating.

I use WD-40. Spray on the articulators and let sit in the sink for a while. Denture brush and soap, plaster comes right off.
