I have downloaded the DMES from this company so I can set up an IO scan that a dr sent me using this system. The DMEs do not have a manufacturer or a manufacturing process attached to them. I can't even just choose a ti base because it won't allow me to pick a material that has a manufacturer or a manufacturing process attached to it. Their solution is for me to watch a youtube video and go into the 3shape control panel and figure this out. I don't have time to jump trough hoops in order to buy products from this company. I've never encountered this before. I am wrong to think that Biotechs DMES should have the maufacturer and the process in them?

I just got a reply from their rep after expressing my frustrations with their DMES. Here is what he sent me:

I called the doctor and told him I wouldn't accept cases involving the Biotech implant anymore. I've worked on two cases involving that implant in the last year. Both turned into remakes(not our fault).

Here's how one case went: Dr sends in model cast with two biotech stock abutments "modified" for me to make a two unit splinted bridge. Margins supragingival and no path of insertion. I fix the abutments to make them "work" and fabricate the bridge. At delivery, bridge doesn't fit. Doctor then rescans the case with scan bodies and sends everything back to me. I just wanted to design and print a model. The Biotech DMEs don't allow me to create an order in 3shape because no Manufacturers or processes are attached to the Biotech Materials that I am locked into from their DMES. I call Biotech tech support. They tell me this is how it is supposed to work and they send me a youtube video on how to fix their DMEs. I tell them that this isn't right and I'm not going to spend my time fixing their DMEs and doing work that should be taken care of on their end. They resend me the youtube video from a different person in their company. I send them an email telling them I will no longer accept cases using their implant and then I send the case back to the doctor and refund him the money for the bridge that didn't fit.
