I was asked if I know anything further about this concept. I think it is rubbish... (A-P spread, no firm support, hygiene etc...).

Has anybody worked with it? Our European colleagues maybe?

Thanks in advance,

M

Bump...

I guess the 'non response' gives me an idea of the popularity...

At least it was an enjoyable read if for no other reason to actually see "scanty" in print, in a medical text no less.

It is an interesting idea, but what happens in 8 years when the ridge has resorbed enough that it's no longer a support structure? Yeah yeah, wolfe's law and all that but it will still shift and change. Make a new one from the beginning? There's no way possible to heat the glass and insert it into the coping the prior glass abutment was in and press home the structure to adapt the new glass.

At the burns on the tech's hands?

I hope he gets treatment...

but what happens in 8 years when the ridge has resorbed enough that it's no longer a support structure?

At the end, it is just a big cantilever with an oversized intaglio surface on the pontic.

Thanks for your responses and insight...
