I have new Dr send to me the first crown and he told me he tried three time to get the color correct and failed !!
what do you think ? shall i do it with e-max press (HO ) ingot or zirconia (whit core fluorescence ) ??
For porcelain definitely i will use E-max ceram 4to5 layering

Thank you ,

Personally I would do a zirconia core then layer your Emax. That is one hell of a dark stump there, the zirconia would mask it out great and you would still get great esthetics with you layered Emax porcelain. Just my 2 cents.

Either one but HO ingots will mask it easy. Probably HO1 for this case.

Al, I've never had success with HO ingots......limited selection and look like dirt.....
I'd start with a Zr coping down to 0.3mm. Fire an opacious liner. Mark the die with some black Sharpie.....if you get the masking , value, and chroma you want at this stage.....you should be home free for the veneering ceramic. If not, you just need to sand off the liner and cook up a layer that achieves the masking, value and chroma. Good Luck !! show us the finals please.

Thanks for all your reply, i will use white core than
1-f (wash fire) glaze liquid with sprinkle translucence
2- stain it,
3- start build up
I agree if i get masking, value, chroma , correct Half the job is done !
Bobby Orr ( Good Luck !! ) ........ yes i need it ;)

maybe i will do two crown either emax or zir its good exercise for me and for the dentist !!

Thx,
I did two crown the fist was zirc. It mask the tooth very well but when i stain it was too dark
The core was too white so my stain was wrong !
The second one with e-max mo1 ingot and again the stain was light .
What i realize i sould ask the dentist to send the patient to lab for stain the core
Or build up the crown not complete just the foundation to try in, so will have the correct shade Before complete the build up !!

You do nice work, bonded. Our tasks will never be easy as long as we push ourselves to get better. Once you think its easy...you better get a second opinion on your quality.
