Any news? - Motion 2.5 - multi disc changer from AG

Hi all,

i hope everyone is doing well and is looking forward to Chicago and Cologne. I'm a curious fella i've heard from another lab that Amann-Girrbach will present a multi disc changer finally at the IDS.
Has anyone heard or seen something and can shed a bit more light on the topic?

AnHello AppleaDay, availability is tough to say for now. we are looking for end of year but not sure until later in summer.

Not implying anything regarding AG, but are these multi disc changer mills along with the bur carousels more prone to glitches and breakdowns compared to a single one?

I get the idea of the time savings, just curious about their reliability.

If our 7 years old Motion 2 is any indication, this thing will be bullet-proof!
I do agree on principle - more moving parts leads to more chances for failure, but I would take my chances with Amann before other companies.

We are cross-shopping the Matik with Ivoclar PM7 and there are some reports of issues with the PM7. Discussion forums are an amplifier for problems though. Most people -will- voice their complaints, but rarely do we see people creating a post just to say "my machine works as expected"...
