Thanks for sharing.
Shaws charges $149.00 I'm sure the other box labs are there too. I still feel the divide is between the big and small labs.
How is the ADTO addressing this?
There's nothing you can do if labs want to work for free. I think the goal here is to have an annual fee guide for the insurance companies to see and adjust what they're willing to give their clients. If the dentists see that insurance companies are willing to pay more, they will accept higher prices(hopefully) from the labs. There are many lab owners that are sceptical or have negative feelings about this, but things will only get worse if nothing is done. I think this is a step in the right direction.

I agree with the formula and the fees outlined.
I seem to be under the 2005/6 fee guide so I'll start there for now....sigh.

Many of the labs charging low prices are sending offshore. Its the only way they could be charging these ridiculous prices. They shpuld maybe concentrste on customer service rather than stupidity.

We have many home grown dummies too.
I doubt there will be much support in this neck of the woods.
Many offices are now controlled by management companies that don't give a rats patoot about us .

I'm glad the 2020 fee guide came as a booklet. It's much easier for me to look through and find the recommended prices. I just didn't seem to want to go look at the 2019 fee guide on the computer. Maybe I was too lazy. The booklet is more convenient to pick up for me.

I noticed some price differences for certain clasps.

Partial Removable Prosthetics
Circumferential Clasp $31.50
Ball Clasp $21.00
Adams Clasp $32.75

Orthodontics
Circumferential Clasp $31.43
Ball Clasp $20.95
Adams Clasp $32.52

The price differences are minuscule, but why wouldn't they be the same? Doesn't make sense.

It takes into account labour, shipping, overhead, depreciation, materials etc. Basically a similar way the Dentist fee guide was established. I do not understand why people find this so outrageous. We are licensed professionals, accountable to the College just as the Dentists are and should be accordingly.
We live in a free market society... Ergo, the cheaper the better... Your ideas are socialist!

399 for a fcz
I'm close to that price for layering porcelain on zir
Quite a few labs here sell $150 FCZ's :banghead:

No one follows the fee guide, it's a dog eat dog world up here too... there's no difference
I have friends with those cheaper prices. They don't make any money, but somehow are always on the vacations.

Sounds like a pretty good scam, maybe they should be doing some lectures on that?
