Sent a case out, doc said mesial contact was a tad light. Whats the best way of adding a little bit of contact after its been cemented? Can you fire the whole thing?

No do NOT fire whole abutment and crown unless it is an old school UCLA. Place abutment and crown on idle or night mode in oven less than 100C and let sit for 20 min. The crown should debond and you can add contact then recement.

NO!

Like others have said, you have to burn out the Ti-Base. I do a very slow cycle up to 390 C, keep it there for 10 min. and let it 'cool' down slowly, again (250 C)

I use Ivoclar's 'abutment cement' and that stuff needs these temperatures...

I suggest following the advice of these experts.
Apparently they have vast experience on adding contacts.
