Adding bite planes to Biocryl retainers?

Hi

I’m looking at using the biostar to make biocryl retainers - I’m just wondering is biocryl resin strong enough to withstand biting forces if I added it on top of the formed Biocryl retainer to form anterior/posterior bite planes?

Does anyone have experience making wire retainers on the Biostar?

Great Lakes biocryl splint comes in a range of thickness, up to 3mm I believe. It does work well for splints. The only issues can be anterior contacts or the lack of. You can add acrylic to ensure even contact points and it works well. Still obviously need to articulate. I found it works best to get as many contact points first with just the biocryl and articulator then add acrylic only in the areas that are needed.
