You cannot adjust the mg after it is set, if you notice something later. That being said I have EXOCAD6155 and am looking to pull trigger on Valletta thae latest build. I would also add model builder which won't be cheap as I thought. I have another concern is that I receive a lot of Trios scans, so a printer is also coming. That being said I heard Argen offers 3shape with no scanner for 450$ a month...Not sure I would want that, cause then it'd make more sense to just use 3shape to build models and design IOS crowns? The other option would be to use 3shape to print models and export to EXO for design NETWORKING computers not my deal. I also have concerns with bugs in 3shape, but I am sure Valletta will have its share? In addition, I now cannot do certain implants with Exocad as they always seem to be last to party for the software libraries?? All that being said,I am pretty set on the Nextdent 5100, not sure there software is capable of generating solids and dies to start and then putting software off till earlier next year. Otherwise it'll be exo update and model software+computerx2 and a network specialist visit to office.
I am sure this will get some responses and I appreciate all of them! Thanks!
Mike
thats quite the setup! please keep us posted as you outfit everything and move forward

I'm guessing mg is margin? It can be changed after it is set. You just need to delete constructed parts to split the top and bottom of the design then other options are available as well.

Model creator module is like $1200 msrp.

Bugs in exocad are rare as hen's teeth, few and far between.

Valetta is almost a past version as Matera is in beta right now being readied for release.

One thing about exocad and implants. If you have the know how implant libraries can be created or modified to meet your needs within reason.

Adjusting the margin is the last thing I do.

I adjust the all time after it's marked anytime during the design. Just switch to expert mode, then highlight the tooth you want adjust, right click, then pick "correct margin"..do it & done!
Or, if that doesn't work ( already merged) then as 2th suggested delete constructed parts then correct and re-merge.

Like what? What version are you on?
Id have to go back and look, but I went back to redesign an abutment, and as far as I could tell there was no way to edit a certain aspect of the the abutment design. I will open it and try again..

Deleting what you've previously designed and redoing it isn't the same as going back and 'editing' the design you have..

As 2th was saying, 'delete constructed parts', that doesnt mean deleting your design; it just separates the coping part from the exterior anatomical part. Make your mods to either part, then remerge, or fuse them back together.
You can most definitely go back at any point and modify any aspect of a design. It can be confusing untill you find the options that you need. Click on the back ground...get a menu. Put the cursor on a model or a tooth, get a different menu of options. Dont forget to peek at the tools option while in expert mode too. If you want something, its there. Finding it might take some looking.

i dont think "deleting" constructed parts means youre deleting your designs....just removing the merge from the crown bottom

I was mistaken in what I said, youre right you can go back to edit after deleting, but there doesnt seem to be an option to freeform an abutment bottom.

That’s the problem I find....the goofy “speak” that’s used, I sometimes can’t make sense.
I don’t have a degree in computer speak. Hmmmm2
Wish there was a table of contents to more clearly find what it is you want to achieve. I’ve lost a few things clicking around and end up starting over.Banghead

Deleting Construction Parts doesn't delete your design.... but Yes it is possible to delete the design if not done correctly. I did that several times years ago Banghead and now can't remember how to actually lose your design.
This would be a good time for the Exocad experts to give the steps to delete construction parts incorrectly when wanting to make changes to your design.

Edit: maybe you can't accidentally lose your design with the new tool "Expert Mode " when deleting construction parts to make changes ?

Heres how my weeks going.. after the pt didnt return my call to check the shade at the lab.. of course it comes back. Its funny how the pre-op picks showed an A1 and BL4.. but at try-in.. they hold up a BL3.. "She did some whitening and blah blah..." #9 Lisi B0 over branemark custom zr hybrid.. close but no cigar.. easy fix. implant9.jpg
