Having a hard time scanning Edentulous arch, Any pointers?
I'm thinking the scanner has a hard time picking up the image(arch)from lacking the details of variety of tooth structure. Are there anything out there in the market that could assist me with this? Non-Toxic markings or stickers that would help the scanner pick it up?

Trios is an intraoral scanner...

To the original question: scanning gingiva/mucosa is not a problem. The problem is the accuracy.

Joe is suggesting using a permanent marker to draw a rough grid on the patients edentulous tissue area and then scan with the trios. This can be helpful sometimes.
