Most 3D printers do a decent job at printing ortho models these days. That said if you are looking to print ones and twos. The Form2 and Moonray S... etc will do a great job at printing models. For an ortho lab, you will probably need something accurate and ready for mass production (anything below 200 micros will do the job). The limitation that these desktops 3D printers have is the platform size. EnvisionTech has a great mass production 3D printer for ortho labs that is easy to operate and maintain. I personally sold a Moonray S and EnvisionTec Vida to a doctor with 3 offices -mostly for restorative dentistry and dentures - and had to replace the Moonray twice in a period of six months. If you are looking to print a full case in one shot and mass produce ortho models. You are better off with the EnvisionTech 3SP. If not you will have buy at least five or six desktop 3D printers to achieve the same result. This in terms can become a logistic problem if you are looking to streamline your operations.
