    Waste Zirconia / zirconium oxide

Yes, Recycle them. Does Glidewell still have their recycling program? "Waste not, Want not". Why not?

    3-FLUTE BURS

Most mills are now using 3-flute 2mm burs for zirconia and Sirona uses 4-flute 2mm. Advantage is less zirc load per flute, higher feed rate possibly and a stiffer bur (increased diameter at flute base for 3 vs. 2). Ken

    Prices of cam software

Took about a month to get the tool paths down for margins and implant crowns. The post processing handles most machine controllers. Most dental milling machines use common machine controllers..like Fanuc..etc. I use LinuxCNC. Fusion360 has a Free 30 day evaluation. Ken

    Prices of cam software

Cloud based software. Software for computation is on your desktop. Files and software updates on cloud. No annual licenses or any of that stuff. What you can do and milling tools is unlimited. More of a learning curve but can do a lot.....lot more. Funny..the zirconia rep. showed me an...

    Prices of cam software

Fusion360 by Autodesk $40/month. I use this industrial CAM software that can be adapted for your dental application and far more powerful than the precanned dental CAM software. The zirconia rep. that stopped by my lab a month ago was blown away by the detail of a 9 unit bridge that my little...

    3-FLUTE BURS

Awesome results with ToolMack three fluted 2.0mm. Surface quality around the margins is far superior than any 2 fluted that I have seen. Very surprised that there isn't more 3 fluted use or perhaps just being quiet about it? Ken

Have you been using Katana 3-4 years now?

    Love CubeX^2

I love the TD-Extreme too and using Extreme for the majority of crowns. However, the extra Yttria in CubeX^2 kick up the translucency another notch for the more esthetic cases. Love it All! Ken

    Love CubeX^2

I used CubeX before CubeX^2 for about 3 years and no failures.

    Love CubeX^2

Just did a D3 shade and no problema and darker shades as well. I use DD prosahde. Check your sintering temperature. Too high of temperature reduces the shade chroma. I'm sintering at 1375C.

    FCZ UNDER 5 MINUTES

Yes, it's important that zirconia binder goes away.:) Is that your question?

    FCZ UNDER 5 MINUTES

Tosoh already makes a zirconia3Y with binder used for injection molded zirconia. Quality optical cearmics, like dental zirconia require precise control of sintered grain size, porosity and crystalline phases.

    FCZ UNDER 5 MINUTES

Yes, sintering does take a while ~8 hrs. for 15-30.. units/cycle depending on oven. For a 30 unit/cycle that's 16min./unit which is on par with milling. Sintering has the benefit of being a batch process. Whereas milling is serial, one crown at a time. There are some quick firing furnaces on...

    FCZ UNDER 5 MINUTES

Don't know if printed zirconia will be the future..will see. Do know that getting todays latest zirconia esthetics with printed materials will be 10X more difficult. Technology road maps are usually off by 10 years or more, or nonexistent. I believe processing an esthetic zirconia with the...
