Our Asiga used to do that and we just pushed through with the prints. Quite a terrible bang. We were not seeing any issues with the appliances so we just ignored it. I believe it was worse at the first few print layers and then gradually stopped. Eventually we switched to different resins and...
I have a quick question. Can anyone please verify if acrylic partial dentures like flippers and other claspless variations can be designed in exocad or 3shape?
I am asking because InLab currently does not have this but I was told that it is possible with some software.
Zest makes the locator abutments for a variety of implant companies. There are several knock off brands that are mostly compatible. I think the locator RTX is the company’s answer with some changes that update whatever patents had expired.
I am going to chime in to give another perspective (not trying to offend)
While chairside pickup is generally quite accurate the materials used are usually inferior. Self cure acrylic that is usually the wrong colour and definitely not colour stable. It often has smaller bubbles and unhygienic...
I had all of mine calibrated and it was very quick and they did a nice clean job. Mine was done at the Canadian office in St Catherines. They use JB weld for the lower magnetic plate and I discovered that it doesn’t like being cleaned with boiling water so I have sent them in a few times.
I am just curious about replacing an existing overdenture. When I call labs about fabricating the double structure/denture framework they seem to all want to replace the bar as well. Has anyone ever successfully made the denture part without the bar or is impossible?
You cannot scan the bite first because it has to correlate the upper and lower scans before it will accept the bite.
However the primescan software has the ability to verify the bite by viewing the contact points of the occlusion. The bite can be adjusted in the software.
Or by just looking at...
The curing unit for lucitone print has light plus heat. Dentsply has two versions. I think one is similar to the eclipse curing unit but I don’t actually have one to compare.
Adjustments to the denture can be polished as normal but if you make excessive occlusion adjustments you might want to reapply the sealer when you are finished.
Lucitone print doesn’t seem to be any more fragile than a heat cure acrylic denture. It polishes exactly the same. The material seems hard enough to have good wear resistance, but only time will tell The coating trick/glaze is necessary for other print resins but the lucitone materials have a...
