I picked up a neat trick at a GC America class, I have been doing it for about a year now, Glass slab and cut square pieces of a coffee filter, wet and ad porc. , and just touch it with a wet brush to keep moist. A lot cheaper than some of those fancy trays. Works for me.
I just de vested my first pressing from my new EP3000, as it came out of the box, two bicuspids, everything looks great. Now to just get some more business.
Good idea, I will make time soon and take some photos and put on here. I used there recomended settings and have had 50/50 success, short pressings, then full press, then short, raised temp. and hold temp at different attempts, there trying to help. I was told by them, it is a self calibrating...
I just started pressing my own EMAX about 2 months ago. Im using a Ney CeramPress qex and after a small learning curve, so far so good. Wax-press-adjust-glaze.Glad I did it.
When it comes to dies, ive stuck with diekeen because its working great. Ive allways been nervous about trying something different when its already working.Just my opinion. But ill keep watching to see if it works for you.
