    Curing Units

I've used these 'tea urns' as we call them here for god knows how many years (run out of fingers). No rust issues, going strong. I have a perforated aluminium type of lid in the bottom to cover element so flasks do not sit on it. Holds about 5 Success flasks or a three flask unit tipped over...

Model side release agent for dentures - need suggestions

Totally agree with what you say. I would add however that after boiling out, and I use detergent which I also wash off, is to run warm or cold water over stone to rehydrate. Separator is less effective on stone surface that has dehydrated from escaping steam. It also cools flasks down quicker...

    Dry Mouth impressions

Sexual lubricant. Make sure it isn't the self warming type etc, and is water based and obviously it is safe for oral application. Well you know why haha. Banana flavour works best! Nah just joking, use non flavoured - unless the patient wants it. Who knows they might have a preferred brand lol...

Customized Stone Model Formers? Where to buy?

Awesome idea, I like it, but it is limited by the fragility of the material. Take it a step further. Cast an impression in the silicon mould that has your logo. Then do a mouth guard suck down over the cast. If logo doesn't come out due to deep depression in cast, melt some excess blank material...

    Are RPD's significant

Thanks for the advice. I've tried the clear FRS clasps but found them more work than anyone could reasonably be expected to pay. And they 'yellow' after a period of time so don't use them anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Are RPD's significant

I've never used acetal clasps. They're not common here, eg I've never seen them used ever. I was worried about trying them because I wasn't sure about long term success from staining and fracture etc etc, or even how effective they are. Would like to add them as an option so really interested...

    Are RPD's significant

Umm that's not true in my experience. I do a lot of co/cr RPD's and patients are very happy. I've had occasional one, very very rare, but they generally hate anything in their mouths. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Are RPD's significant

That's a shame :( and probably the result of a clinician not doing their job properly. Treatment options should not be driven by the patient. The patient should only know of the viable/suitable options, and have them decide from there. If flexibles are not suitable, it shouldn't be an option or...

    Are RPD's significant

It's a pity because flexible are really only suitable for a very small portion of removable cases. They are definitely over prescribed, and often inappropriately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Beading and Boxing methods

Totally agree. Boxing is totally redundant. It's a training tool for students. But each to their own. If you want to do it, I really see no short cut for you. But know you can do just as well without it. Best of luck :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Polishing Vertex Thermosense dentures

Sounds painful. I've done a couple of thermosens, a lot of FRS, and modified the odd Valplast. Thermosens and FRS are easier to work with FYI. Get the right burr firstly. . Then use silicon burrs, rough then the smooth to remove burr marks. Then I use resilience and mop to finish, but brush...

Are there any denturist who are partners with Dentist

Actually having a good relationship is mutually beneficial. If you can make it work in the states where you respect each other. There must be forward thinking dentists there somewhere surely? I like love working with my dentists. They refer patients and they follow my prescriptions for partial...

    characterized dentures

Hi all. Loving the look of these denture arts. I really do enjoy this part of making dentures. I just wanted to add some comment for consideration. I love doing tinting jobs for my patients (when needed and if they pay me enough [emoji12]) and getting to see them insitu is a great reward. I...
