    DOF or Medit scanner?

The medit t500 auto powers the projector off. You set the time of inactivity you want. Its the older models that don't power off. Also projector on t series is also supposed to be much easier to replace/renew.

    Sold Lampert DentaPuk Phase Welder

Huh, i was just making enquires about these, I'm in the UK so cant help you out on the sale, but what I'm not clear on is what the main limitations of these are compared to a laser welder? These are still useable for crown and bridge work? Or are they to lower powered?

    DIY printers first crown!

yep that's what I'm thinking! this castable resin (fun to do) was £60 for 1 litre. Need to do more test but from what i can tell so far burns out clean with no expansion issues on normal emax burn out cycle. And accuracy/part detail (assessed with tiny formlabs cube test) is great. Why do I...

    DIY printers first crown!

Whats the deal with the "dental" resins and why are they so expensive? At this point I'm not convinced there any better than well tuned consumer resins.

    DIY printers first crown!

Printed and pressed first test crown from DIY printer a few days ago. Pretty surprised by the result considering I still havnt finished tuning the hardware and resin profiles. This started life as a cheap wanhao D7 but only the screen and mainboard left now, everything else has been stripped out...

Help Wanted In house technician for dental office fixed and removable

"thats a lot of work for one person!" 20 units of fixed and 4-10 removables a MONTH! is allot?? well I thought I was slow but guess not, 90k a year is not allot... think maybe I'm working in the wrong place. Ok its $ but 90k a year in UK is a pretty darn good living for a 1 man band...

    Stacking Porcelain

personally id say get some good books (ubassy, brix etc) and make some time to practice. Then after your a bit more fluent book a course or two. You get better value from expensive courses if you have a base level of knowledge relevant for the course. You can learn to be a very good ceramist...

    Dentsply Sirona News

Ha, don't have much good to say about either company tbh. Experience with dentsply over the years has not been particularly great either. Their support for the CERCON system we used to have was terrible.

    Benefits of using CEREC

Plus sironas ****ty underhanded business practices like time limiting features (stack milling) which expired and were then only available again if you upgraded to a new camera, or restricting the system to a few of their chosen zironcia brands which were totally over priced. Honestly if felt...

    Benefits of using CEREC

"If your Cerec is well calibrated with correct parameter settings for your use, appropriate tooth preps and correct choice of material for the occlusion and location in the mouth then it can produce a restoration of equal quality to your average lab." great if you have control over those...

    Metal Types

tialite is the nicest non-precious ive used. Just a shame talladium in the UK dosent want to deal with smaller labs. Hopefully talldium in US is a bit more business friendly Are you even allowed to use non-precious/base alloys in the US?

Smile Line - My Shade Guide

yeah mine take a washer. Did you scan yours or design from scratch? I had to make tweeks to the standard design to optimize for FDM printing so designed from scratch. Took Quite a bit of working out. Cost with washer in PETG is about 45-50p each instead of £2 each so about 1/4 the cost. if your...
