We recently got a Nobel Kavo LS3 scanner

I thought I'd give some info on it. scanner comes with 2 plates for model holding. one is similar to 2G, and one is for use with putty. full articulators fit, using putty plate. of course, it has default kavo plate interface. scan speed is good, much faster than 3shape D850. but the...

    finally got a 3shape...

not impressed so far. now that I'm used to the superior convenience of DOF, scanning on this thing feels like being stuck in the stone age. it's sad that it doesn't even include the bite scanning jig as standard, and is an $1800 accessory. that's some massive price gouging. The software does...

    Degree of Freedom scanner dealers

Does anyone besides B&D sell these? B&D doing nothing but avoiding and deflecting my questions and just plain ignoring me half the time. I can't believe just how pathetic the service has been, and their conduct makes them seem deceitful. I'm seriously beginning to wonder if they will deliver...

    just upgraded to exocad 5541

but I found a rather debilitating bug on the first day. I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem on this or any other version. importing an extra multi die scan and then registering it causes a crash. It doesn't seem to be limited to me, as it happens to Origin too it looks like. A final...

need help with titanium pfm crowns

We tried to get into making titanium pfm crowns, but found that there is a problem with the margins being too dark. It basically took 3 layers of opaque, and it still didn't look perfect. Is there some way to make the margins look good without resorting to 3 layers of opaque?

What do you use to cut this?

We're having trouble cutting this thing. We use a long diamond bur to cut it but it's very troublesome. Does anyone know a better method? We're about to try diamond discs but not sure on the specific type to try. Sent from my LG-P769 using Tapatalk

    Nobel Procera 2G scanner

It looks like we're getting this thing. I'm not very wild about getting a closed scanner. And at 46k, I'd much rather get a 3shape d900. But it looks like some of our doctors are too attached to Nobel and I guess I'm going to be stuck with it. I've been told it can't produce stl files. It's...
