We are a high end full arch award winning dental laboratory. We are seeking a person proficient in Exocad and/or 3-Shape. Our lab is a small laid back environment with a few employees and tons of great prosthodontics accounts.
87000 per year compensation depending on experience. Paid...
been using it now and I have to say this thing is a huge step up from the CMP it makes almost no noise (only durng meltdown is it a little annoying)and doesn't clog, plus it's really small on the countertop. I agree with denture dude the others are just overpriced. this one does the same thing...
Thanks it just got done with melt down stage. now I'm feeling better about it! I thought the motor was going to cycle like that all the time like on other machines. seems like a simple designed machine with a small footprint and I've heard nothing but good about it that's why I bought it guess...
Old thead I know. I just bought a new TCS and omg is the motor is obnoxious! had a CMP but it was too big for what I needed and the spout clogged but at least it didn't drive me nuts all day. I can't imagine why they wouldn't use a quieter motor. Is it just mine or are all of the TCS machines...
ahh I see what you did there. my apoligies thought you were referring to Arian Deutsch lol... not clueless just confused... I envy things about many techs work so I wear many shoes that fit.
I use zhermack zetalabor. shore hardness is a factor I use 95 for processing and 85 for relines repairs because as Tom said the denture is easier to remove with 85. I choose 95 for processing because I don't really need to worry about removing the denture jsut the denture teeth and thats not...
glad to hear you got a good job I was hoping you were doing well.
that is a huge incentive for people to get the acredation! I know it's been brought up before but you have real experience to prove it.
I still use them when appropriate inarguably they are some of the softer teeth out there. The V moulds are very nice and as I said the posts are nice too just wouldn't be throwing them into an case opposing natural teeth, implant over dentures, or hybrids. If they changed the composition of...
Exactly right! I live in a rural part of the country so for a guy like me I have to do everything you mentioned. The written tests alone are I think about 475 plus time away from the lab, for a small lab can be very counterproductive. I'm not saying it can't be done I'm just saying why not...
thanks. I'm
well I think comparing Canada to the US is a little bit swayed. I think there is more to play than acredation, you guys have a great economy, tons of jobs, and you don't pay for healthcare that is what will make labs flourish I mean hell when we had a great economy 10 years ago...
Actually it took two breaths, but to address you calling me a hypocrite. I think even if you asked most dentists they wouldn't even classify a Chinese lab tech in china as unskilled we as technicians are the majority that would consider them unskilled...so actually not that hypocritical when...
You're all good Rob it's many others btw we were all new techs at one time (-: I think the key is to plant the seed in of possibility then encourage...much better than "you guys are a bunch of talentless no good bastards that are ruining the industry" as many have come off. Don't paint us all...
its a deap issue no doubt! then you bring the foreign market into it and then you really have a topic of discussion.... if dentists care more about price than they do about quality what does that say to everyone striving to become better, or on the fence about becoming a CDT. I have some very...
ahh this thread is so old. I think after all of the bantering back and forth between me and Tim I owe everyone an update. first off I apologized to Tim in a phone call a couple maybe even a few years ago(hopefully he remembers),actually ashamed of some of the harsh things I said. But on the...
I bought a 12000 dollar Phaser on ebay for 1800 like new. I've used it a few times and it makes great welds... I'd prefer a laser welder they are easier to use but as a one man show justifying the cost would be extremely difficult. I'm afraid if you're use to a laser welder you may not be...
There are some light cured materials that do last a quite some time I have some tricks many are my own and some I learned from the German technician that I have worked hand and hand with, he designed the Artegral line and is a consultant for Merz Dental. I will in the future be speaking on...
