If you already have Exocad why have the need for 3shape? Just buy the model creator module for Exocad.
In my opinion, the form 2 is okay for surgical guides and splints. For c&b, it really depends on how you use the models and dies. I pretty much use the prints to just send out the jobs...
If you can. Get the generic version of Exocad. The branded versions are usually missing a few things.
All exocads can open. 3oxz files no matter which version you get.
If you get the .3oxz file and don't have the trios import button, change the file extension to ".zip" and unzip it and all...
Before digital they could be bothered to pour models, write out lab slips etc. Package the jobs to be sent out. And now it's Unbelievable that they can't be bothered to click a few mouse buttons.
Set up a dropbox accnt for them. Should be super easy.
Trios spits out a. 3oxz files that includes 90% of the above information within the file. No need for communicate or inbox to get this info.
Its a bit of a pain for the dentist to export individual stl files for each case. The. 3oxz will include all the stl files in one file.
I think the curing cycle is pretty important. I use the form cure 60 degrees and 60 mins in glycerine. If the resin doesn't cure fully, it can't burn our Completely. I also turn the investment mold upside down in the burnout. Resin needs oxygen to burn out well.
I put it in a hot oven and burn out for 1 hr. So far all have pressed successfully. (about 10 units) I'm going to start bringing down the burnout time 10 mins at a time until I get failure and will tweak from there. I use my normal pressing investment that I normally use for pressing if waxing
Double click on the window with the list then use centre scroll button on your mouse to scroll through the libraries. They will show in the preview window without you having to click on the list name to view the library.
I have another case with a custom abutment that I have opaqued and also a sprinkle of porcelain over the opaque. The dentist is concerned about the crown de cementing in the future. Is it possible to bond an EMAX to the opaque just like bonding EMAX to enamel?
I'm thinking that the rough...
I'm overstocked with wrong bites. I got hundreds of scans with intrusions. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
A few with ideal bites please. I can pass them onto my clients so they can arrive towards.
I get trios scan Everyday. The bite is out on the majority of scans. There are always intrusions. I've resorted to designing with an open occlusion and then re articulating the printed models and grinding in the bite.
