So we tend to have a lot of stone sticking to dentures after processing. Both on the basal surface and between the teeth. I don't like using putty because it has too much give/flex during processing. I've tried many different cleaning, boiling and separator methods but we still get sticking...
I'm going to run it through some tests to see how durable the staining is before we launch. Wax try in would be a 3D printed tryin. You could add some wax to the facial if you want pink but most people I've talked to said they get used to the all white try in. For us going digital is more...
Higher than I want but you also don't have to pay for teeth. We pay $50-60 for a set of anterior and posterior teeth per arch. Plus we often have to outsource set-ups because we can't keep up! With us already having the equipment this seems like a no-brainer to at least try!
Our lab is fully digital on the C&B side. We do 3D printing and milling in house. We just got back from Chicago Lab Day and plan to beta test digital dentures with a couple of doctors.
The denture gets milled out of a monolithic, tooth shaded puck of a hybrid pmma. Then tissue tinting is...
Quick question! May seem silly but I am about to mix the powder/liquid and the directions from Astron says to use the provided red scoop for powder and clear scoop for liquid. It also says it is a 2:1 ratio. However, the red scoop isn't twice as large as the clear scoop. They officially...
I ordered Astron CLEARsplint to start offering it. I mentioned it to a doc that it will be coming soon and he lit the fire under me to get moving on it by sending me a case haha. I'm not questioning how to process it yet, but questioning how to properly prep the model and wax it up...
We are needing to lubricate our DWOS 3+ scanner (using white lithium grease). I know there is a way to prompt the camera to slowly cycle back and forth across the track (so we can lubricate the part of the track where the camera sits),but don't know where to access that in the software/on the...

We currently do traditional press packing and want to look into an ivocap (not ivobase - to expensive). What do we need to purchase to start?
Thanks,
Trey
We are doing work for an office that has an impression scanner. We are currently using a DWOS 3S+ scanner, but wondering if we have the ability to receive scanned impressions from the doctor. If so, how would we go about doing this? Thanks in advance!!
Hello all,
Any ideas to offer dentist offices with in house milling? What are their needs outside of what they can do in office? It seems to be a growing trend and we would like to adapt to it.
Thanks! :D
Thank you everyone for your input. We allowed it to cool overnight and will try casting today. We'll see how it goes and I'll try to report back. Thanks & Merry Christmas!
We ran into a problem today - thought our gold shipment came in but it was something else. We used High Temp Whip Mix investment. It was heated up. Can we let it cool and reheat tomorrow to cast? I hate to wax the crowns again.
Thanks,
Trey
