So, we updated 3Shape 17. I know.. I know. Not my fking decision, I’m only the idiot that gets to suffer the ramifications.

The model builder analog is different. And I “mean fking different”. After arguing with tech support, being told it still fits, calling “bull sh*t”, they admit they have “no fu*king clue”.

But, “I already knew that”.

Who is hiring?

The model prints an analog insert that is like an expanding anchor bolt... no doubt screws into place... and the tapered analog is much, much different.

They admitted they had no clue! You should have recorded that, it'll be the last time you get to hear it.

They have assured me they have redesigned this because they were getting complaints about their analog fit...

Well, I NOW have some serious complaints about their analog fit.. it doesn’t fking fit, and again, I call bull sh*t.

It has a hole and seat for “a screw I’m guessing”? Like it would expand the 4fins to lock it in.. now look at that for internal geometry and tell me how it seats?

That’s it. I’m cutting a fking model in half.

I've snapped models in half trying to insert that thing...
....that statement takes on a whole new meaning outside the dental lab.

Ok, so..
you either “should” be a porn star,
Either “are” a retired porn star,

Or..
You’re a witty lab tech.

Any idea of how the implant repositionable analog look and fit on their RapidShape 3D printed models, with soft tissue?

The “only” analog available doesn’t fit this dme.
That’s really the only way to put it. The base of the analog isn’t secure, and the “body tube” is oversized. Also, the “square” won’t print sharp corners, so I’m betting the rotations will also be slightly of.

It’s all bull ****. The only way to put it.

It's such a lazy design. Very difficult to determine if it is seated accurately.

The analog hasn't changed at all.
The socket in model builder has changed to give more flexibility.
That design was initially from Dreve only adding 4 rectangular cut outs so that you could print tighter allowing to push fit the analog.

If you need the old socket back just install old dme file.

No way that socket is for the tapered square analog

Good morning Andrew,

Please have a look at the 2 sockets side by side.
No new analog just an improved socket design, not perfect for sure but better.

Ok, how is it you can say the fit is better. We print at Argen and on our FormsLab.
This simply doesn’t seat accurately. At all. The “cylinder” fit is so far off it’s rediculous.

Understand, if you are off a “gnats balls” at the base of the analog, you are off a fu*king mile at the contacts... there is no “seating” the base of the analog. But that’s just the “bench tech” talking.

Because it was updated with a 3Shape undate. You ever try and uninstall a 3Shape update? Trust me

Don’t try.

Yea, ok. This isn’t what prints on either model. Maybe the first mm of your cross section prints as shown. Neither are accurate, so I don’t know what to say beyond that.
