Who is using 3 flute milling burs?

Any other suppliers other than Primotec?

for what?

for clumpy, soft material like plastic, wax, or zirc its a waste. 1 flute is better than 2 flute even.

for hard material like ti and crco 4 flute is easier to come by and more durable.

I prefer three fluted myself. Sagemax used to sell them, not sure if they still do, I haven't bought from them for quite some time.

Tool mack has options
Awesome results with ToolMack three fluted 2.0mm. Surface quality around the margins is far superior than any 2 fluted that I have seen.

Very surprised that there isn't more 3 fluted use or perhaps just being quiet about it?

Which machine? We are using Argen's diamond 3 flute burs for ZR in our 51D's, achieved 600 units without a chip.

Interesting question, we have Cendres Metaux mill. What burs do you suggest for ZR?

Most mills are now using 3-flute 2mm burs for zirconia and Sirona uses 4-flute 2mm.

Advantage is less zirc load per flute, higher feed rate possibly and a stiffer bur (increased diameter at flute base for 3 vs. 2).

Ken, thanks for answer, I don't know for others, but VHF burs lifetime is about 8 hours and that is far less then 600 units per bur.

One question again about burs. This milling mashine what we have in lab, Cendres Metaux, it looks like VHF CAM 4-K2. I tried to put diamond coated bur, but machine will not start, normal bur, works fine. Is it possible to use diamond coated burs in this machine?

You can`t use diamond coated burrs with this machine. Only with the new K4 edition.
