Would you really rather have that person drawing unemployment, camping under a bridge, living with a family member, etc than to have a lower wage?
even if you employ a person, they will still be "long term camping" under the bridge unless you can afford to pay them enough to finance a home and give guarantees to the length of their contract.

you dont magically earn enough to live just by having any job.

and if you are on the cusp of hiring but cant pay that kind of wage, then you arent on the cusp of hiring. you are on the planning stage of hiring.

mcdonalds and visa conjured up this fantasy to try and justify its terrible wage scheme.

rent 600, and no heat? and 2 people can live on this income? in what world is 150 a realistic car payment?

anyone else notice the expenses are over 50% of a 2 person income? nobody in the world would qualify for a mortgage in this scenario, let alone be granted one where 600 is both principal and interest, and affords a home big enough for two people.

if those expenses are accurate (and they arent) the living wage is at least 2520 for two people. comfortably and more accurately combined income should be 3150 to put these expenditures at 40%.

Well, that is reeeeediculous, but, mainly because the forgot food.

It's all about location. $2000/month is good money here, and that income is totally liveable. It is different in different places. I fully agree that income wouldn't let you live in a shared cardboard box in other areas.

guys you have gone of track a bit the people who want the fda gone arent us its the dentist who want it easier to get even cheeper crowns etc without the fear of litigation .and the supply companies that want to gouge us just that bit further. dentist think they are the only ones who are allowed to make a buck and they are always thinking we charge to much we all know this .its the way they are educated they are taught that they have an entitlement to charge what ever they want and that they dont need to be regulated because they went to university. getting rid of tga ,fda and what ever the europeans have is always the idea and smoke screen of someone trying to make extra cash or someone justifying why they charge so much for something when they are really just ripping people off.

I'd imagine the suppliers would really like no quality controls too. The way people love a low price, there wouldn't be any quality supplies being imported or made in the US within a few short years.

Think I'm wrong? Try buying a blender, tv, radio, or even snow shovel, that'll last longer than 10 years.

Why oh why are all participating to a race to the bottom? Mass production does not equal quality.
Everywhere on this forum i see that there is a shortage of good techs.
Why not make the quality visible from outsourced and home made?
Why not educate dentists in this?
And let patients have a choice between outsourced or homemade?
North Amerika is probably the biggest market in the world. So as a good tech this should be guaranteed a good income. Of course the tech needs to do other things like marketing and deliver a good product but this is what makes the work your live and you better love it! Then who needs FDA or China?
