LCM, you physically cannot do an angulated screw channel using the same screw driver, it need to be this special "ball" shaped screwdriver since you screw in angle.
Now doing it on Straumann it not a problem as far as I know, but will need investigation.

Thank so far for all the help.
The Omnigrip is similar to the 'Hexaglobular' screw driver from Dynamic Abutment System . . .
I am just not sure both are compatible and rather not have to buy another Hexaglobular if you create
your Angulated abutment with a proprietary diameter on the driver.

Interesting! This looks so much like the Automatrix tightening device, now under Dentsply:

Pretty sure this is never going to happen.

I won't say never, just not sure if someone will beat Straumann to it.
When I attended their 'Re-"Open House in Arlington, Tx, and spoke to the 'people'
they seem to be aware and knowing Straumann, are already in discussions with the power to be.
Just hope they don't buy Dynamic Abutment system out . . .

I need advice as to where I can send an Exocad file for an angulated screw channel abutment. My Nobel rep said that Nobel only takes 3Shape files right now. Thanks in advance.

if we only have to achieve anywhere from 15-40Ncm - think of the breadth and strength of a laprascopic probe. HK could easily make a fiber optic "muscle" system that would "clench" to "X" Ncm once the probe has verified engagement.

SOOOO MANY innuendos TO ADD HERE

DESS is close to launching their ASC system. You can do it now but require a tiny adjustment on the screw. But once launched FDA and all.

Can't wait to do them in our own. For now, for anything over 10 degrees, we us Nobel.

So far what I understand is that Nobel system is good but limited to their implant connection.
People want Straumann, Hiossen, 3i, etc. (the major popular and/or trending brand) to have similar offer.

Dynamic Abutment, DESS and maybe other offer TI base with software library to do it but not full metal.

People want either a full metal (titanium or Chrome-Cobalt)
and a Zirconia solution with Ti base.

Screwdriver must be simple, but yet it will be unique so it create the problem of patient moving around the world and not warn dentist about his unique condition of screws being different.

I presume everyone want this to be offered on single and multi-implant cases.

Am I getting the big picture here?

I don't like Nobel's ti insert which is very small. I think a ti base would be better.
