Has anyone used Zest's new style Locator / R-Tx?
Have you used it on divergent implants and parallel implants?
Any issues or concerns?

Thanks,

Darwin

Just used on a case a couple of weeks ago. As far as divergent, nothing out of the ordinary. No issues, so far. Knock on wood.

FWIW - for my divergent case, I used the MediLoc and it worked quite well with original Locator insert

In Texas at least, being marketed by InstraDent, but I understand,
also owned by Straumann.

I had my first request to use the "F-TX" in a full arch zirc today. The hydraulic tool to remove this appliance looks crazy. All I see is the zirc bridge hitting the sink.

Anyone else hear or use this option even if its in an acrylic Hybrid?? It is officially the trippiest thing I have seen in implant dentistry for a long time. A Dr removable resilient attachment prosthetic option.

Andrew I am pretty sure the metal housing was never really designed for anything but for resin but I am experimenting with a zirc case for this client.

Straumann is coming out with an RTX style abutment manufactured by us for our implants. It is called Novaloc. It will be in 0 and 15 degrees.

Just placed one on a diverging case that the pt kept rolling over the edge of traditional locator. Two weeks and counting with no issues. It usually took her one to two days to roll the old insert.. Didn't buy the tool so a little tricky to get the processing insert out.

Thanks, this would look like what the new designed was meant to do.
