Hello!

I have a crazy idea, and would like to hear your input if this is possible or not.

I am planning on starting a specialist clinic (endo, perio, etc) here in Stockholm with an in-house lab (with a small mill),and have this idea and just want to hear your input.

My idea is, that when a dentist refers his patients to us for an endo treatment, he can then send us an impression for a crown on that tooth and we do it for free for the dentist. The same applies to implant crowns. I was thinking maximum 4 unit implant bridges.

The dentists have to know that we make the crowns only in emax or fcz, and the same for the implant crowns. The implant bridges we make full contour zr with Ti insert.

Apart from the financial aspect of this (That is my problem to calculate fees etc),I just want to hear your thoughts. Would it be possible to work like that as a lab technician?

Best Regards,

John, Sweden

Perhaps I was imprecise (is that a word?). What I mean is, is it a problem to work with many dentists for a few cases per dentist, as opposed to a few dentists with many cases? Is it a problem that the service is free for the referring dentist?

this is how every big lab operates. few cases for many many dentists.

you cant want all the cases.

free service is only a problem if you don't somehow make money. but if youve got that covered...

Yes, if my calculations are correct it would be very profitable indeed. Maybe I am too optimistic.
