Hi Guys,
I am trying to achieve even better accuracy of my scanning, particularly of implant scan bodies. I am using a scan powder spray and the results are not too bad but I am thinking of reducing the layer of the scanning agent even more by using something else. For example I have heard that some people are using food coloring spray. Can someone tell me which brand and color it is? I have also tried some marker pens but did not have success so far. If anyone have some information please share!

Thanks!
Alex

2. aldente Aqua Spacer & Thinner, sprayed with a Airbrush Gun (very thin layer, not so easy to use)

3. Edding 725

4. Renishaw DS 10 tactile scanner for Exocad (most accurate and expensive way, up to 4 microns accuracy)

I use scan spray from talladium, comes out super thin and it is a spray can bottle size. Why do you need to scan the scan bodies, peek should scan with out it unless your using Biomet 3i ti scan bodies. What scanner and can you post a pic of the scan your trying to better. Sorry just sound like a bunch of extra steps for something that is not needed in my eyes.

We use Spotcheck SKD-S2 from Magnaflux. If you peel the label off the Talladium stuff it is the same thing. Talladium sells it for what 99.00? This comes from Grainger for about 19.00 a 330 gram can.

Can get it for 16-17 from welder supply and probably less if you buy it by the case.

Zirconium dioxide powder... No scanning spray leaves finer layer.
