Built my own out of a $50 pressure cooker and tire stem, both from walmart.
THIS CAN BE DANGEROUS.
Mine never goes above 30psi, but if it ever goes bad, I have no recourse as it was modified. This pressure pot is only used by me, ever, so I am not endangering any employees with this kludge. But that kludge works just fine for me, and has for 18 months.

Also agree. Easy to build and WAAAYY less $$.

I ended up having to put a dollop of cold cure over the hole in the release vent under the handle after it's internal gasket went south. I think the kitchen level ones are built to a lower price point with the idea that they will not be put under pressure multiple times a day. The gasket still has a warp-out/blow-out area safety, but it would probably take 50+psi.
