Help. I'm working on a large pfz case and the copings keep falling off the dies. Driving me crazy. What do you all use to keep the crowns on while building up the porcelain that won't contaminate tne porc when firing?

KY jelly or a tiny dab of wax on the metal collar (that can be flicked off before firing)...

Smileline makes a product just for that problem.. haven't tried it yet.
You could also raise the start/beginning, of cement gap to tighten your fits a touch. .. I now use 1.5 instead of 1

Use a dot of Elmer's clear washable glue $1.77. Works better than expensive dental stuff. Great for emax, zirconia, veneers etc.

No vaseline....! KY jelly or generic, chapstick, or kiddie gluesticks in the school supplies dept. Just a dab a do,,,,, depends on how loose your copings are. I understand it could be non retentive (teepee) form of preps also.

I would stay away from petroleum based and make sure it is water soluble. KY jelly fits that bill.

I was thinking about petroleum based products. I did have some concern on that. Thinking I will try KY first. Thought the Chapstick was interesting. Is the Elmer's idea a stick glue washable or is it the white liquidy type.
Thanks again. E

tiny spot of superglue. Burns off in furnace. Oliver Brix told me that when i asked him about multiple layered e-max veneer jobs. Works a treat. Just don't use too much. Tiny spot.

Water base hair gel. Do you have your parameters for cement gap a bit tighter maybe...
