Ok so man moons ago I published an article in QDT on tooth histology as related to dental ceramics and as I was designing 2 anterior copings this morning I decided to try an experiment. Creating Striae of Retzius on the core. Here is my attempt, just sent them to Scotty so hopefully they will mill as I see them..or think I see them.

Im sure this isnt original with this grp so curious what others may be doing. No idea how this will work. Took shade on patient yesterday and not much I can do to help this gal as she really needs 5-12

Here is what I will be matching, patient has bleached using multiple techniques from multiple practices so now we have each tooth with a different shade.

I would do full contour for the gingival third and cut back the middle and incisal thirds.

i'd use the gingival shade for the zir and layer for the rest.

This would be easy with Noritake CZR.
