anyone here milling stone pucks?
quick solid model for a case done modeless. in know it sounds redundant, but humor me.
Why not print one? Tying up a mill for a verification model doesn't seem logical. We had the same idea but we decided to have them printed from Argen. Turn around in 3days, cause argen takes two, in before the cut off on Monday model back in office on Wednesday. Crown milled while waiting. For single units I tell the docs, slight adjustment maybe needed on the contacts, occ is .3 out and they drop in.
Take a PMMA disk and duplicate it, then poor stone into it and boom.
Or even try to make a solid out of pmma.
You know pouring a stone to a PMMA dupe is not a solid model...
phew.To create a stone disk, not a solid model. Then you can mill the disk, but finding the right stone to do it with is the question.
phew.
so where might one find or purchase said stoneyes done it a couple of times its slow but works fine
I thought you said mill a PMMA crown then pour a solid around it.LOL mill a pmma solid then dup it then pout it in stone........................
so where might one find or purchase said stone
