I preliminary scanned myself at home prior to my appointment on Tuesday.
Dr just had to scan the preps and bite.

I just got back from the dentist.

I had the 2 Lava Ultimate crowns inserted in under 20 minutes .
No freezing , no adjustments of the contacts or the occlusion.

Dr said the margins were perfect.

The emergence profile feels very natural and these crowns feel like my real teeth.

Trios is very impressive.

Rkm, how do they look in your mouth? Curious how the material blends in to surrounding natural teeth?

They blend in pretty good. The shade was C2 .The value was bang on.

They tend to pick up the core colour quite well so the gingival and occlusal warmth comes through a bit. I didn't do any fancy occlusal staining, just seated and polished.

They feel very natural more so than porcelain imo.

Time will tell how long they will last .

I wore one as a temp while finishing a lithium disilicate mono restoration. I tried a few different materials since I was the patient;) the lava ultimate felt the most like a natural tooth.

Well I'm going to see how long this lasts. Since it comes with a 10 year warranty , I can afford to try it as a long term temp.

Nice work! Have you done much with enamic? On another note, which machine are your models from?

Thanks , not much work involved though.;)

I have not tried enamic. I send my files to Argen for the models. Proto 3000 or Pyro 3000 ? something like that.Dontknow Projet?

proto3000 sells machines i dont think they source frames or parts. projet3000 maybe but that's kinda old tech that newer machines do better. they don't make parts for them now, and that pattern of stopping part production might be in the works for the 3500 too.
