For emax I use the empress stains. For pfms I use the paste stains that come with the porc.

We need to vote Al for something on Dental Town 'product of the year' - some category, maybe lab.
Thank you for sharing and pushing yourself to be better than before constantly.

Al, I am really impressed with the suface gloss of your crowns. Do you hand polish or is this a natural glaze? If hand polished...what is your polishing protocol?

Thanks for sharing!

Probably would, just like with Creation I bet I could make it more esthetic.

But how much more ? I dont know. I dont know how much is the user and how much is the porc.

For large cases, most of all, I need a predictable metal and porc combination.
No cracks, no excess shrinkage, no excess tearing. Need to keep the bakes to a minium.
I need to be able to make addons body or incisal with out problems with the dense or highly cormatic dentins.
I think creation came out with the secondary dentin line to help with that problem.

With componants, metal and labor a case like this will bill at $7,000 +. Everything has to be predictable. No cracks, no frame movement, no bubbles.

Hi PDC, I use the paint on glaze. I think it helps to seal the porc, and some of the micro pitting.

I make sure it is light esp in the connections and I make sure I dont over fire it, if anything I err on the sly under firing. Keeps everything sharp.

Then I just rubber wheel the facial areas. Not the whole surface but probably 75%.

My understanding was that inline was originally developed to replace dsign. I think it is beautiful ceramic.

I do have a couple of others in the works.

This guy is out for try in.
I made this little wax up that slips on and off.

I keep the centrals to max of 13 mm then below that I usually go with tissue porc. Longer than 13 mm they start looking like horse teeth or long pickets.

Ok I just finished and sent this out in the mail.
Same build as the other case but on top of 6 implants.

BL3 final shade desired, I put B2 in the connectors and B1 at the cervical.
Dr cut it and reconnected it with GC pattern resin between 8 and 9. Thanks Danny for the weld especially for the speed.

Hey Al, great work. Real primo stuff. I love how you do the tissue and how you accentuate the central papilla. No way you cut all that stuff in with a bur.

Say, I really like your lighting. Are you using a diffuser on your twin flash?

I always figure if I have to grind I added to much on.

I use typing or notebook paper to filter the flash. Wrap it around each flash, tape it on, keeping it bowed out about 3 to 4 ".

Russ, James Fondriest gave me that tip, thats how he gets all those beautiful clinical pics of stuff he seats.

Also You Nino's pics he often does the same, he has a new pic of his camera set up.

For clinical pics their flash is close to the lens but for the lab I have the extenders and that is how I get light to the molars on the model, I open them wide and aim them to the back. It lights up the whole arch not just front 6, and it dosent blow through to the opaque.

She had a bar with processed acrylic and denture teeth.

The bar was oversized and she kept busting the teeth and acrylic.

The implants are really too large for anterior pfms and the middle one is right in the middle of the mid line.

Old School again.

Wax and cast to abutments.
