I agree,
it needs it is own cosmetic make over improvement , the whole purpose of a case like that to show creativity and improve aesthetically,

think about it, this case could be a show case if it was planed good and proportionally designed with pink porcelain, I do not want to be harsh this case is severely questionable and did not pass!!!

You have been here ten minutes and you have resulted to name calling and insults. This will not be tolerated in future posts, please remember we need to show respect to our fellow members.

While I am not certain that your communicative skills are any better in the real world I will give you the benefit of the doubt that this medium is very hard for you. Text does not show emotion, and sometimes is way more harsh that what we really want it to be. I think you need to reread your posts before you hit the button, you can always go back and edit your posts to be more tactful

Thanks

Thanks Martintay
the whole purpose of this grate site is to exchange ideas, constructive criticism, and help each other without finger pointing and name calling. I remember years ago when I finished dental lab schooling, I had the pleasure of working with a compassionate and patient ceramist who had the time to show and explain to me some aspect of being a great ceramist and a great technician. This is not kitchen nightmare and chef Ramsi, even thou at the end are hugs and tears!!

it's not a matter of balls,it's a matter of realize that you've done somtehing bad,and that autor didn't realize,he wrote :"considering this bridge is 100% ZR and no addition of porcelain powder, it turned out very well, IMHO. And this ZR bridge will not chip or break" my god keep on learning please

we forget that somebody paid for that ,that's not serious, that's hilarious
don't be so friendly,is not good for him

We all have ways of being helpful my friend, some people do it better than others.

Ok, quite a controversial post! I think we all agree the aesthetics could be better. It looks like just the addition of pink gum work would have helped enormously, the question is how do you go about designing the pink gum work through cad? Looks like james is using exocad so would he have to use the wax add/remove tool to sculpt it on screen or is there some other way?

We have a case in like this at the moment, it's a nightmare to gauge everything. We have had to get our denture boys to do us a full set up and double scan the gum work and then introduce that into exo, I'm sure if you were skilled enough with the virtual wax knife you could do it. I know exo are not far off introducing the denture modual but I think most labs are waxing up these kind of cases. Pete

3 Shape has a tissue module that allows you to do the gingiva area's. Everything is a little long but by the time we add our pink porcelain it will shorten everything up.

I was thinking that a scan of a denture set up would be a solution but don't you find the posterior moulds are generally too narrow?

We don't use the tooth molds, we only use the tissue wax up to give us the shape we need and tell Exo it is a pre-op to copy, then use the library to introduce the dentition. I have a ridiculously over engineered case in at the moment so will try and do step by step screen shots of it. It should look WOW once its done but is going to take sooooooooooo much time Lol

with a great ceramist, that case can look like this (my design, made perfect NOT BY ME. so i really shouldnt get credit for this)
https://quadrantdental.ca/products/allinone/

these images are the finished work, as owned now by https://quadrantdental.ca/

the gingiva 3shape software is a PITA. takes ridiculous time to render, forces you to fake fully solid scans which makes you lose die quality and add a lot of unnecessary spacer and does not co-operate with the Coping module. on top of all that, adding a hole to this is like ... well pardon me for saying so but its like pulling teeth.

I got a really nice deal during the IDS . 18 discs for 1500 euros something . 9 CrCo , 9 Ti grade 5 , from 10 mm to 18 mm height .Average price around 85 euros . Not bad IMO . Regular price is around 130 euros I think for a 10 mm CrCo disc .
