Hi Guys, before using Ips emax ingots, i use to use 3G from generic pentron and they had only 1 milky ingots which is be twin MO and HO in opacity and i have used it for 15 years with great results by painting the 3G core to the desired color and than add very thin layer of porcelain with great result. today
i use this same Core coloring on my Emax HO or MO to reach to my desired color over a dark tooth.

Kristine: ive changed how i do things alot since doing that case.

That was a heavy prep on the discoloured tooth, about 1.5mm labial (although it was non vital anyway) with an MO ingot.

With the tricks ive learnt since, I reckon i could mask that with 0.5mm now using an LT ingot and still get just as a good a result.

Id stay WELL away from using HO ingots for anything in the anterior personally.
