At least scan them and send the files for design out. Save you on shipping and the risk of a damaged model.

It realy all depends. I like to have the most vertical support when ever room is available. So with that said 95% of my hubris zr abutments I do are glidewell based. I know, I know, but no one else has a 3mm, 4.5mm and 6mm, that gives me an optimal range to choose from.

Also Tru Abutment on all my Dentis implants, they have a 3.5mm and 5.5mm high engaging and non engaging. Also m.i.s. as needed and implant direct and OE like Nobel universal base and vario base straumann.

I have had great results with the glidewell kit, granted half the industry hate them. But imo they have the great range to work with. If you only use nt trading let say and you have a abutment that need to be low and the interface won't allow for you to go lower then your sol. Yeah you can modify the ti base and scan in a copy wax abutment and manually place the hole. Become more work then if it can be done digitally.

Nah...was just saying that experience costs you more with less pain of training. It's worth it sometimes to pay more to get up and running faster than have to train and spend 12-16 hour days. You should just decide if it's worth it to you to pay the extra money or spend the time. To me...time is money.
