Yes its amazing how technology has changed our industry. It would be fun to look 20 years in the future to talk to a new tech and tell them how archaic we were using a brush and powder to build restorations. He/she will think we were cave men.
That makes me laugh 'cause I thought the same thing about burnishing tinfoil to process dentures. When I first started this was archaic and I remember thinking 'thank God for tinfoil substitute' (which is what separating fluids were referred to in those days).

hey, there is an art to burnishing foil.... I have watched my dad do it more than once....

i know. i've seen it done. I'm just glad it wasn't part of my daily production. It's unfortunate that technology often renders one generation's amazing skill and artwork into a succeeding era's tedium.
My hope is that the art continues to evolve to match.
