Convert DCM to STL

I've been reading a lot here but I still can't manage to convert a 3shape DCM file into a STL file to be able to 3d print it.

Maybe check your settings in the "3shape Dental Control Panel"
and select the "System Settings"
and see if you have the option to change the "Visualization output file type"

What exactly are you trying to print? Visuualation output will do it to have the scans themselves converted to STL, but the design should be converted upon design completion. Not sure if you have to have your retailer request STL output eneabled, I forgot.
