Wowsers! More is better so even more must be even more better! I'm not familiar with mini's yet so I have no idea if this is standard of care or crazy ha ha. At first glance it looks crazy. 24 of those bad boys in there.

Silly! Glorified drywall screw.

If you mill a roundhouse of Zi on that Scott and it gets delivered this Dr should be shot. There is a wonderful thread on how to be a millionaire placing mini implants on Dental Town.

These fixtures are best used for retaining transitional appliances while REAL implants are integrating.

While I have seen some success using these in the mandible retaining tissue supported full dentures, I have not seen a case in the maxilla last any discernible period of time.

Love to see what you were asked to do with that.

I have a doctor that was using those implants to replace a single missing tooth. Talk about a tomatoe on a tooth pick. We haven't gotten one in awhile, so i think he may have figured out that those implants aren't to be used in that manner.

I want to read that. My "make me a millionaire with many mini implants" google search returned nothing, perhaps you can shoot us a link?

I have an appointment to get Sixteen placed in the middle of my forehead.

I will hang pictures and keep my car-keys there.

That's a lot of "implants." Same thought process:

"Well.... wearing one pair of socks makes my shoes fit well, so maybe if I wore five pairs of socks (at the same time) my shoes would fit even better! After all, more is better, right?" :D

Truth be told, mini-implants are hardly regulated. If it falls below 3.1mm in diameter then it is not held to the same surgical standard as researched osseointegrated implants. It falls into a grey area since it is less likely to require grafting or to impinge on anatomical structures during placement. It could be said that they were l-o-n-g term temporaries... ;)

It is open to any "guy" that can buy a drill and a kit.

Send this case to the lab down the street, in no way is this worth the time or effort.

I have heard that some obtain licenses as a prize from boxes of cracker jacks.
