Wow Paul, i love the cutback. I also understand your frustrations about the ant. waxers.....it gets irritating sometimes. I had to make sure I approve anything they try to press on me, this releived my frustrations.

As for this case, I'm concerned, I think the length is too long. I know you said she was canted, but if you look at the difference between pre-op and post-op picture of #11 and #12......huge difference. It appears from the pictures that #11 is 3mm longer or more on your crowns. I can't tell from the pre-op pictures...Was she canted this much? If so, then I don't have any concerns at all.....keep posting those crazy skills brother, you got talent.

P.S. I love the incisal interal staining. Now i got a challenge for you, do the same thing on the lingual surface to enhance the lingual anatomy, especially in the cervical 1/3. Many times technicians could care less about the lingual, it's what I call the technicians playground. You're limited on what you can enhance or do on the labial surface due to function, esthetics and contour. However, the lingual area is where you can really make your work stand out from the rest of the crowd. I know, knowone is going to see it, except for the doctor and the assistant, but it adds great value to the showman-ship of your crown, and lets you play with internal/external staining without ever causing to much damage......lol

Thanks guys about your comments. she had really canted occlusal plane.. even if put my new crowns she will get still canted smileline when I checked with stick bite.

As you well said, not alot of technicians take care about lingual anatomy.. even here my fellows made just flat anatomy.. when I started work here, they said my lingual anatomy is to intense so the patient will feel the ridges.. lol..but it's a important factor considering functional aspects against lower ant. it's an esthetic of funtion.. Beautiful "looking" crown without any functional consideration is "ugly crown".. is what I'm thinking..

And Hi DeVreugd~ I saw your picture that was taken with Jimmy when I visit Jimmy's house..hows going? any signature courses planned this year? I'm giving you best regards from Nuance dental lab members.. =) good to see you here again.

Before & After

I got some pic from Dr.. He and the patient was happy for the result.. but I didn't like that flat cervical 1/3.. I could to better.

After seatting, Dr prepped lower 10 unit and made provisional..
I will do 4 Zirconia for premolars and 6 Authentics for anteriors.. hope this time I do better job than upper 6..

I like to see the patient's happy face after seatting.. that makes me feel alive .

about models

Thanks for your nice presentations. They are excellent. I wish to learn about your solid models. Are these so called "Geller Models"? If so can you please explaine how do you make them? Thank you so much.

Nice results, to bad the internal stain photo didnt show the stain well (mabey it was my computer) I would like to see that.

All ceramic makes pfms look terrible at the gin 1/2 when their seen side by side.

Baker, is that material lithium disilicate? If so that is a chore to cut back. I made the mistake once of cutting back the material after it was pressed, :(now I cut it back in the wax.

Authentic is leucite reinforced pressed crown.. I know it's a chore to cut back but.. a bit easier than E-max pressed crown.. Indeed,If I wax up the core, I will make cutback shape.. =) Have you try grinding E max press to the cutback shape? that is really really chore.. ^_^
