    3D Printers....A Real World Comparison

I am in a similar position as you e.l.t. I am swaying towards the Objet Eden for these reasons. They have a standard work model material and a bio compatible material and the latest veroglaze material. So I can print work models, study models for ortho, surgical guides, splints , temporary...

Automated process to trim and finish clear aligners

Hey Jesse, your web site shows awesome aligners, how did you get those? How did you finish them? Have you seen " clear corrects" YouTube video.? It shows from virtual setup to model printing to thermo form to cutting. I can appreciate that gingival heights are different and hence its not as...

    3Shape Ortho

I have to presume you have the two parts to the ortho side, one to scan a model or impression and make the virtual study models the other part being ortho analyser for your virtual setups and measurements. When u scan ur models in it will be with " 3 shape scan it orthodontics" you will be asked...

    Explain ortho to me please

Alveolar bone is stupid and bone in general is stupid. If a constant pressure is put on it, it will remodel. When pressure is put on a tooth thru an arch wire or spring or tongue or thumb it will move for this reason. There are osteoclasts and osteoblasts in the bone. Osteoblasts will build bone...

    Advice pleeezz

If you have followed my posts in the past, i originally wanted to hollow out ortho based study models to reduce costs of printing. Thanks to Scott from DCM i got some software ( magics by materialise) to hollow out and slice parts from my models. They have been created thru 3 shape scanner and...

    Advice pleeezz

The lab in Singapore is not a lab at all. They are a company who has a 3d printer and just print stl files of all shapes and sizes. They use exocad. I supplied my files modified from magics. Scanned from 3 shape using ortho designer module Patrick

    Design Ideas?

This case looks like a permanent retention case. The root needs to be torqued back through the bone. I agree with "smile" that canines are tuff titties to move and keep. Id go along the lines of an aligner with long term wear and maybe a bonded lingual after desired movement.

    Any Thoughts???

So the strongest muscle in the body doesn't play a role in this. Does she chew or is spoon fed? And her lower posts got laid over by gravity?.i will try to do a drawing of my extra oral face bow idea as well if I get the time -Patrick

    Any Thoughts???

Do the upper posts bite on the buccal aspect of the lowers?.i reckon they will and I will put my money on the masseter to win the battle. Sounds like for all the opinions that you have it sorted in your mind. Look forward to the results.orthopaedic corrections with removable s will take lots of...

    Any Thoughts???

You have in your mind what you think will work. Have you considered a Crozat? Low volume very elastic. Great for adult demotion especially in the posterior

    Any Thoughts???

Nope I'm talking about the active component being 2 arms that are heavy wire that can be part of something like reverse pull headgear with pads engaging the lingual of the posts that can be activated. Like a parting of the teeth Moses style

    Any Thoughts???

Compliance will be ok and mum or dad will be right with the chain elastics. It would be nice to get those cheek tractors and modify them, or maybe even headgear with modification arms so at night it can be set and forget. Nice acrylic wings that slide into the lingual sulcus bi laterally that...

    Any Thoughts???

If in the history she runs a battery powered wheel chair thats probably pretty $$$$$ then a visit to the oral surgeon and the hope for quality of life won't be a consideration.its def an oral maxilo-facial surgery case. It's a really bad case man. Freeing up the tongue will happen with oral...

    Any Thoughts???

As a side note plz point out to who ever is handling this case that there is a genetic issue. Check the shades of mx over md and also tooth ananatomy and size. It's like 2 different jigsaw puzzles in 1 box with the hope of a lovely picture...mother nature says this one wont happen

    Any Thoughts???

Yeah I got thoughts...... Whats the question? So far its a foto shoot. Can u say if the patient has teeth in the lower past the premolars anteriorly? Presuming given the history she has been referred to the oral surgeon? You wouldn't give an LRA to this case and hope for success ? Even...
