Absolutely. We’re not going to send the screw back. Not only has it been torqued, it’s had the implant flopping around in the mouth and it’s been fired in the furnace. That would be a bad idea.

I’m not sure. We don’t have any model work at this point. We separated the assembly and everything is cleaned up and ready to be reassembled. We have to see how doc wants to proceed.

It’s a #9. A little confused as to how a screw could back out that far. Doctor filled the screw channel with some sort of puddy before cementing the crown. The implant was in the mouth for two years and patient walked into the office with the complete assembly in her hand. The screw looked fine...
Good tips on this. So if there is contact with opposing, it can cause an implant screw to back out? Is this common? Is there anything they put inside the screw channel to prevent the screw from backing out?

Weird situation. We have a zirconia abutment with a crown cemented to it come out of the mouth after two years. Nothing is broke and nothing debonded. Apparently the screw somehow backed out. We’d like to separate the crown from the abutment and salvage everything. I’m considering firing the...
I'm not sure what the deal is. When we contacted the company that we have heard of doing these, we were advised they only work for docs and don't accept any outsourcing from another lab. So I was hoping someone on this forum had a source they could share.

Yes, we had a client inquire about these and I was curious if anyone had an experience with them or could even suggest a comparable product. We attempted to contact the manufacturer of these and was told they will not fabricate them for a lab.

One other question, what has your experience been with the trios scanner? Are they decent as far as accuracy and are there any issues on the lab end with this system?
Good information thanks guys. You all rock!
I've got exocad model builder so designing models shouldn't be an issue. So the dentist scans and uploads the files to 3 shape communications website and I download the data and case info from there correct?
Hello, we have a doctor considering purchasing a trios scanner for impression taking. We currently scan modelwork and design our cases on exocad. Can anyone give me some information on the procedure for importing his scan data into exo and if there are any fees associated with it on our end...
