I currently use Astron Clearsplint soft for my nightguards. I would like to get into printing but would like a material that would be similar in look and feel to the Clearsplint.
Any suggestions? I have been looking at Keysplint soft but it has a blue hue, looks like they have a Keysplint...
There must be labs taking a loss on the models. I charged full for the models and only saw 3 cases from that Dr. He went back to his old lab. I would have liked the extra work but not willing to take a $60 hit on every case. I heard through the grapevine his complaint with the old lab was...
Np I just want to give the man an honest opinion. Seems like he is coming to that conclusion on his own.
I just feel bad that he is questioning his lab after 10 years of doing good work. Scanning technology works
best on a stone model at the moment. Too many variables in the mouth.
Again...
I just finished working on the 3 cases with digital Carbon models from Argen. My first impression was not good. Its like they are trying to save material, models are thin and flexible. Removable dies have lateral movement when placed in the model. Zirc fit on the die with no adjustments.
We...
I dont see the value in paying extra for digital models. If I was a patient I would want and impression taken. Its just business though and the Dr has made his choice so he shouldnt expect it to be cheap. I heard his old lab didnt charge him for the models but then he was upset getting...
Ok what about all the Canadian labs out there.
Argen charging 19/quadrant + 5/die + 25 shipping = 68$/model !!!!
Ok I am saving on pickup costs and making a model out of stone but... WOW
I cant imagine charging $60/case extra but I dont want to lose money either.
What are others charging, more...
How do the carbon models from Argen compare to Core 3D? Do you mark up the models? Charge for the shipping? I just started accepting files from a Trios (getting the first case with models back today) and it seems awfully expensive. Not sure whats the going rate for digital models these days.
Thank you that makes sense to me now. The straumann bone level "platform shift" is already integrated in the design.
Ordered a titanium custom abutment and will cement a zirconia with access hole. This should be the strongest option for a screw retained crown.
Merry Christmas everyone. Thanks...
So just get a regular RC and build a pumpkin on top? I can't imagine how much stress its going to put on that tiny implant. Am I missing something... how is this going to save bone loss? Is it because the RC engages above where a WN engages? Still not super clear on what platform shift is...
I have a RC Straumann in a spot where a WN should be.
Prosthodontist was telling my Dr that it was done to save the bone (Platform Shift).
As I understand with Platform Shift it is just engaging the implant with an abutment at a higher level than the platform of the implant in order to save bone...
I have a Dr just temp cement 2 zirconia molars. Argen HT+ (A3). Dr is concerned as the first molar "looks grey". I am sure when they left the lab they looked identical. Dr doesn't remember what they looked like outside of the mouth. Stumps are same color.
Has anyone seen this before? What...
Are you guys passing off the cost of the models to the Dr?
With a tier 2 the models in Canada come out to 35$!!
Pretty pricey for a model that I could make for 3$.
I am passing on the cost. Haven't heard any backlash from the Dr's yet. Fingers crossed.
