We have a friend that was sent 2 dongles for Cerec by mistake so we might be able to use the extra one. That would be great. In the meantime, we are losing time to work on that case the Dr sent to us. Really lame.
We got a Cerec scan the other day. Had to call the Dentsply rep and got the same info about DSCore. The issue is it's free for labs but the Drs have a fee so that is probably why they aren't using it yet. I have no desire to buy a Dentsply dongle to receive scans with Cerec Connect. Don't even...
Yup. Been dealing with that too. Figured out you can just get 3I to make a model but with no soft tissue, doesn't follow the new Encode healing cap shape and is twice as much as Argen. We just passed the cost of the model on to the Dr and told them to take out that healing cap and use an...
We have had encode scans sent to us and then we sent them off to 3I. I don't want to forced into sending only to them. We have a few drs that use Certain implants almost exclusively. They use the regular impression technic. One likes to do a temp to shape tissue in the anteriors. These encode...
One of our Drs just came over all fired up over the new 3I healing abutments. From what we can gather, the healing abutment/scan body will be the only way to restore implants. From what she found out, they are eliminating the impression transfer copings. They forcing dr's to send a scan of their...
From the printed model, make a jig with non-engaging temp cylinders and send back for a test fit. We just went through this with a Pita Dr. that cost us time, money and frustration. If the jig fits passively then you know the model is good to go.
Bringing this back up. How about the "SC"? Is anyone getting scans with SC's? How are the results? I saw a video saying they don't fit the analogs tight so they might be sloppy on the implant making them inaccurate for final restorations. Anyone see this? How do we get the library for Anatotemp SC?
Today I had a Dr that is a Prost tell me how to polish gold. It's a dumb ass bar between to lower cuspids. The bar rests on the tissue. I of course lightly scraped the tissue on the solid cast. He tried it on the working model and says it rocked on the tissue (which is all bumpy). I told him I...
We have 1 Dr that uses them. He's a Nobel guy so to him they can't do anything wrong. The colors on singles suck the bag. No shades that match a shade guide so it's a crap shoot. The angle bridges do have actual shades but not all. The choices you have to make in filling out the 3Shape order are...
We have a Dr that recently sold his practice. He's going to stay working there as a clinic Dr for a while. The Dr that bought the office is using Dandy. My question is can our old Dr use the scanner and send files to us after the minimum cases for Dandy are done?
Apparently the patient has lots of health issues and bad previous work done. For her this is the easiest solution to anchor a partial. The Dr. wants to use only a Locator by Preat. I've read Preat's technique pdf and seems simple enough.
I have a dr that wants to do a post and core with a Locator. I've never cast to stainless steel. Is there any special techniques I should be aware of? What alloy is good for it? I usually cast my post and cores in Argenco Y+ but am open to using whatever is best.
