osada Osada...Of the various handpieces i have used this on is the best! it has one tough motor that never slags or slows down when you are doing alot of heavy grinding. Love it!!!

just got a call from an account that tells me two of the hyrax appliances i have done recenly have had molar bands seperate from the solder...seems like it just came clean off...any idea why or how to prevent it from happening agian??? thanks for your help :)

When I worked at T.P. and inter-america we used silicone rods. The process on it's own fairly easy, put the rod (cut to desired length) into a horseshoe form pressed onto the mounted lower to a particular depth, lower the mounted upper cast into the rod, and boil. then cut, trim and polish...

Any cards, or info about your services will quickly be discarded unless they are attatched to a nicely packaged bag of candies, or box of muffins from a local bakery...creates some odd sence of loyalty, they will at least look over your info, and when a problem comes up with their current lab...

Yes...get that model into the pot as soon as you can! also, if you are removing any excess acrylic off the model before going into the pot, it may lift it off of the model, so make sure to gently press the acrylic to make sure it is up against the model, get it into the pot, and leave alone...

I hope not...I am in the same position as you. No hood etc...But I worked at T.P. some time back, and they didn't require anything to extract the fumes, so I'm guessing with a big company like that they would be "in the know" about theese sort of things, and be doing everything by the book. So...

most offices will have already disinfected the impression prior to sending it out to you...i would check with the offices before going to the extra trouble. :)

I use ultradent. i buy so few that i get them from a denture lab in town but i'm sure you can get them even cheaper from a dental supply. the folks at o.r.p. (where i get them) may be able to direct you if you have trouble finding them... their number is 707-584-0775
